[April 1, 2011](https://rbi.org.in/scripts/BS_PressReleaseDisplay.aspx?prid=24166) - RBI decided to [introduce](RBI_Press%20Release_20110401_RBI%20introduces%20Working%20Paper%20Series.pdf) a ‘RBI Working Paper Series’ (RBI - WPS) to provide a platform to the Reserve Bank Staff for presenting their research studies as well as to receive feedback from informed researchers. 2. Papers published under ‘Working Papers’ Series are quick analytical research papers on issues and challenges of contemporary relevance to the Reserve Bank. Unlike [[Occasional Papers|Occasional Papers]], which are published with specific periodicity, RBI - WP Series will be published, as and when ready and in digitised form only. 3. These papers present research in progress of the staff members of the Reserve Bank and are disseminated to elicit comments and further debate. The views expressed in these papers are those of authors and not of the Reserve Bank of India. Comments and observations may kindly be forwarded to authors.
