2. It is compiled on monthly basis and was made available for the month of May 2026 (Provisional) along with the back series from April 2023 to April 2026 (37 months) on June 15, 2026.

1. ISP measures quantity/volume/physical output and real (excluding price change) growth of service sector production over time, just like what the Index of Industrial Production (IIP) does for factories).
2. Service Producer Price Index (Service PPI) - It measures price change, that is, the average change in selling prices charged by domestic service providers. It is similar to how WPI tracks wholesale prices of (physical) goods.
